Another Year of Top Honors for Freedom Boat Club of Northeast Florida at the Annual Franchise Conference

Jacksonville, Fla., March 5, 2026 – Freedom Boat Club (FBC) of Northeast Florida has once again taken top honors at the Freedom Forum, the company's annual franchise conference, held this year in Tampa. For the last four years, the local franchise has received the Membership Sales Platinum Award and the Membership Sales Gold Award, and for the fifth year, Membership Director Bill Edinger was named the Membership Executive of the Year. New this year is award winner Kevin Seelig, the co-owner of the franchise, who received the Freedom Cares Award for his work with Shake-A-Leg Miami. 

“Year after year, I am so amazed by our wonderful team, and it is always a pleasure seeing them receive the recognition they deserve for their hard work,” said Lisa Almeida, co-owner of FBC of Northeast. “Bill is an incredible membership director, and we are lucky to have him on our team. I am also very proud of my business partner, Kevin, who gives back to an organization that introduced him to the water and helped shape him into the business leader and person he is today.”

Seelig is an active board member of Shake-A-Leg Miami. The nonprofit organization uses the marine environment to improve the health, education, and independence of children, adults, veterans, groups, and families with disabilities and without disabilities. Seelig spent his childhood and teenage years with the organization, starting as a summer camper, then becoming a volunteer and, ultimately, an employee from age 14 to 18. He credits the nonprofit with giving him a place to thrive and putting him on his career path.

Seelig and Almeida have been the co-owners of FBC of Northeast Florida since 2011 and have grown the franchise through the years. There are four FBC locations in the region, with a fleet of 135 boats. FBC of Northeast Florida’s headquarters is at the Jacksonville Beach location at Beach Marine. They also operate out of Julington Creek Marina in Jacksonville, and Camachee Cove Marina and The Shipyards in St. Augustine.
