Freedom Boat Club of Northeast Florida Wins Awards at The Baldwin Group Corporate Run 5K

Jacksonville, Fla., Oct. 14, 2026 – A team from Freedom Boat Club of Northeast Florida (FBC) recently braved the rain to participate in The Baldwin Group Corporate Run 5K in downtown Jacksonville. The FBC team took home two awards; the most colorful T-shirt award and a third-place finish award for the running team’s CEO. Traci Goetz, director of administration for FBC of Northeast Florida, was designated as the FBC Running Team CEO and was the third fastest CEO in the race, completing the 5K in just over 35 minutes.

“We had a really great time, despite the weather,” said Lisa Almeida, co-owner of FBC of Northeast Florida. “It was a wonderful way to get the team off the dock, and out of the water and office for a fun way to enjoy some time together and get a little exercise. Our team did so great and I am proud of each and every one of them. And everyone had a blast!”

Nine members of the FBC staff took part in the race with Almeida and Membership Director Bill Edinger cheering them on. All runners completed the run and the team’s top score went to Dock Staff Team Lead Michael Mobley, who finished the race in 28 minutes and 20 seconds.

The Baldwin Group Corporate Run 5K is billed as the largest and best office party. It was designed to celebrate workplace fitness, promote company spirit and the health and wellness in the Jacksonville business community. The race also helps raise money for a good cause. This year’s race will help local high school cross country and track teams, including summer camp scholarships. It will also assist in the construction of a new three-mile running trail at Aterro Recreation Park on Sunbeam Road.
